What's special about CMFT?

Some of the benefits we offer are unique to CMFT. Here are just a few of them.

  • Cutting-edge healthcare site
    Our £500 million development project has resulted in a state-of-the-art healthcare environment, which will bring many benefits to both patients and staff.
  • Greater integration
    For example, departments whose work is closely linked are now located nearer to each other, so nobody has to travel too far around the hospitals. And the expansion of pneumatic tube coverage across the whole site for pathology samples will mean halving the turnaround time for samples that need diagnostic tests.
  • New facilities
    We now have dedicated facilities for planned treatment, so operations will no longer need to be cancelled because of emergency admissions. We have also built more single rooms with en-suite facilities so patients can enjoy greater privacy.
  • Centre of excellence
    Our new development is set to become a centre of excellence for healthcare services and clinical research.
  • On-site nursery
    The new site is home to a purpose-built nursery, which has extended opening hours. It offers a safe, happy and stimulating environment to the children of CMFT employees.
