Ward 84 wins North West Pride Award

Royal Manchester Children's Hospital has won a North West Pride Award for it's specialist childhood cancer ward, Ward 84.

Ward 84 and its staff have won Medical Team of the Year 2015, after nominations from various families who have stayed on the ward.

The North West Pride Awards 2015 are organised by The Katy Holmes Trust, an organisation set up by Paula and David Holmes who lost their ten year old daughter Katy, to a brain tumour in 2012.

The North West Pride Awards is an event which proudly celebrates the achievements of outstanding and hugely inspirational individuals from across the North West region. Children, young people, adults and professionals from all backgrounds will be recognised and rewarded for their courage, bravery and remarkable contribution to society. The award ceremony will be held in November.
