Macmillan Welfare Rights

The Macmillan Advice Service is available for patients of CMFT and their families who have been affected by cancer. If you are struggling to cope with the financial impact of cancer we can help with

  • Checking you are receiving the correct income
  • Negotiating with creditors about any debts you have
  • Applying for social security benefits and tax credits
  • Appealing against benefits decisions
  • Issues with your benefit claims such as overpayments
  • Health costs, such as prescriptions and travel to hospital
  • Accessing charitable grants
  • Applying for housing and council tax benefit.

The service is free and confidential.
