M.B.B.S MRCPsych. MSC.
I trained at the Royal Free Hospital in London and qualified in 1984. I moved to Manchester in 1985, and worked initially in general medicine before starting training in Psychiatry in 1987. Following completion of higher training in Child psychiatry, I initially worked as a consultant in Liverpool before taking up my current post in Manchester in 2003.
I worked half time in the generic child psychiatry services in South Manchester, and half time as the Consultant child Psychiatrist for looked after children. This is as part of a city wide multidisciplinary team, and I am the first psychiatrist to be part of the team.
