Metabolic bone disease, Non-Type 1 Diabetes and Disorders of sexual development


After studying medicine in Cambridge, Dr Ehtisham trained in Paediatrics in Cambridge and London and then in Endocrinology and Diabetes in Birmingham. She developed an interest in non-type 1 diabetes and undertook research for a PhD on understanding ethnic differences in diabetes risk. Dr Ehtisham then worked in Australia prior to coming to Manchester as a consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. She is actively involved in teaching and supervising Manchester University Medical Students and junior trainees.
