General Paediatrics

Service Description:

Most specialities are covered, including Diabetes, Endocrinology, Respiratory, Atopy and Allergy, Gastroenterology and Rheumatology.

Both general out-patients and particularly ambulatory paediatrics allows patients rapid access to the service.

(An additional post has been agreed in line with the 'Making it Better' proposals)

Admission:

By referral via routine GP, C&B, A&E and Ambulatory Paediatrics.

Additional Support: 

The General Paediatric service is supported by a community nursing team that allows for a reduced in-patient stay (care closer to home)

There is also support from a number of services including Dietetics, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy and Psychology.

Information Leaflets:

There are a wide variety of information leaflets relating to your child's condition. Nursing staff will be happy to provide these during your visit.
