What is the NWPAG?

The NWPAG is a clinical network of specialist and non-specialist consultant anaesthetists from Northwest NHS hospitals who have a responsibility for providing comprehensive anaesthesia services for children in the Northwest region. The network is recognised as a regional body by the Association of Paediatric Anaesthetists GB & I.

What are the aims of NWPAG?

  • To provide a forum for discussion and the development of clinical guidelines.
  • To provide a source of information for use in clinical practice, teaching and training.
  • To promote the highest standards of peri-operative care for children.

How does the NWPAG achieve its aims?

Meetings are held twice a year at one of the Northwest hospitals, for discussion of current topics, dissemination of national guidelines and to formulate regional suggested guidance.
