Physiotherapy

Service Description

Physiotherapy services are provided by paediatric physiotherapists to assess and treat children who have a problem with movement, a disability or an illness. Physiotherapists and trained support staff work with children to help them achieve the best possible physical function.

Physiotherapists use a variety of treatment modalities including hydrotherapy, and also teach children, young people and families to do their own programme of exercises. Staff work across all specialist areas of the children's hospital.

Admission

In-patient referrals are via the ward you are being treated on. Out-patient referrals are via consultant.
