Sleep and LTV, Paediatric Bronchoscopy, all aspects of tertiary Paediatric respiratory medicine including Cystic Fibrosis


I qualified in 2003, and did my Paediatric specialist rotation in London. While doing my Paediatric rotation I did my Masters in Advanced Paediatrics from King’s College London. My research thesis was on looking into acute pulmonary complication post orthotopic Liver transplant in children. I did my sub specialist training in Respiratory medicine at 3 large centres including Great Ormond Street Hospital, University Hospital of North Staffordshire and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, before taking up a Consultant job at Royal Manchester Children’s hospital in 2015. Along with my 5 respiratory colleagues we provide the tertiary respiratory services in the North West which is one of the biggest in the country. Currently I am the audit lead and the induction lead for the department. I also jointly lead on the sleep service. I always had a passion for education and training and am involved at Local and National level training activities. I became an Academic advisor and honorary lecturer at Manchester Med School for undergraduate training. I have also been involved in National level training activities, and am the Quality advisor of RCPCH CSAC for Paediatric respiratory medicine.
