Trained at Bristol University, qualified as a doctor in Year 1985. I did my house jobs and SHO jobs in the South West of England before coming to Manchester as a registrar and then a senior registrar. I achieved my FRCA in 1989. I worked in a Private Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas for a year from summer of 1994. I was appointed to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Booth Hall as a Consultant from 1996 until the merger at the new children's’ hospital in 2009. I have worked part-time for the last 13 years to care for my children
