Staff and patients from the Dental Hospital were the subject of a new documentary, which aired on ITV in June. The film followed patients being treated, including those undergoing cutting-edge dental and facial reconstructions.
The University Dental Hospital of Manchester (UDHM) is one of the key specialist dental hospitals in the UK. Around 90,000 patients come to us for treatment every year, and we look after both adults and children.
We are situated on the Manchester University Campus, and bring together a wide range of experts from the University Dental School and Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. UDHM is also responsible for training the next generation of dentists and other dental professionals.
All our staff want to ensure you have a good experience during your treatment at UDHM. If you have any concerns or worries, do please talk to the team treating you or your child. They are very happy to explain everything involved in your treatment and follow-up care, and help with any worries you may have.
At the moment, our reception and waiting areas are being refurbished to make them much more comfortable for our patients and staff. We appreciate your patience while the work is going on.
Your feedback is important to us, and you can share it with us directly or through our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS). You can also leave a comment on our page of the NHS Choices website. Thank you - your views are helping us to make our services even better.
