National awards for dental duo

Jeanette Mooney, our Dental Therapist based in the Paediatric Dentistry department, has been chosen as the recipient of the British Association of Dental Therapists (BADT) Roll of Distinction Award for 2014 for her commitment and dedication to the dental therapy profession.

A similar recognition was gained by another of our leading dental care professionals.  Ann Jones, Education and Development Manager of the Central Manchester School of Dental Care Professionals in the Dental Hospital, has been recognised by the Orthodontic National Group for Dental Nurses and Therapists, who gave her the Group's Outstanding Contribution to Orthodontic Nursing Award.

Both received their awards at the British Dental Association (BDA) Honours and Awards Reception on Friday 11th April, during the National BDA Conference in Manchester (10th-12th April).

"It is excellent to see two of our outstanding members of staff nationally recognised in this way, and I warmly congratulate both on their achievements," said Mike Pemberton, Clinical Head of Division.
