Biography

Trained in Manchester, qualified in 1979, followed by posts in general dental practice, basis specialty training in Newcastle followed by speciality training in Manchester. Has also worked in the USA.

Has had research funded by the Medical Research Council and the National Health Service and published extensively in the American Journal of Orthodontics. Authority on need for treatment and early orthodontic care.

Associate Dean of Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences and Chair of the General Dental Council Specialist Education Board.
