Graduated with honours from Leeds Dental School, appointed as honorary consultant and senior lecturer at UDH in 1997 Responsible for developing the postgraduate programme in endodontics and establishing endodontic services. Clinical commitments include provision of secondary and tertiary endodontic and restorative care. Have lectured and examined extensively abroad and in the UK, provider of more than 50 postgraduate courses and lectures. Over 50 publications in refereed journals. Chair of the Teachers of Endodontology Group, past President of the British Endodontic Society and the British Association of Teachers of Conservative Dentistry. Only member of the dental school to have served on the University Board of Governors and to have been awarded a Senior Fellowship of the Faculty of Higher Education.
