Electron Microscopy Electron Microscopy (EM) services are provided from a laboratory suite at CMMC. This is a multi-user facility and provides EM diagnostic services to the Histology Department at Central Manchester and to other specialist clinical services at other hospitals. The EM facility provides a diagnostic capability for the detection of enteric viruses, for the investigation of skin lesions and for the study of protozoan pathogens.
