laboratories are located in Manchester Royal Infirmary in three
areas within the Orange Zone
• Autolab housing Blood
Counts, Coagulation and Blood Transfusion is part of the Clinical
Sciences Complex
Provides a full 24hr laboratory haematology service.
• Red Cell housing Haematinics,
Haemolytics including Haemoglobinopathy and Cellular Therapeutics
are in the Cobbett House Facility (Directorate of Laboratory Medicine)

• The MDC - Molecular Diagnostics
Centre (after Junction 8)
Located in the Nuclear Medicine/Multipurpose Building
