Interprofessional Learning (IPL)
What Is Interprofessional Learning (IPL)
Interprofessional Learning (IPL) is key in the education of
healthcare practitioners in order to provide high standards of
care to patients and service users.
According to CAIPE (2002) "Interprofessional Education occurs
when two or more professions learn with, from and about each other
to improve collaboration and the quality of care."
A Trust wide IPL Champions Group is currently in the
process of developing a Trust wide plan to develop further IPL
initiatives and opportunities across practice. Watch this space for
developments in the near future.
There are a number of IPL initiatives in place across CMFT ask
your line manager for information on IPL opportunities in your
area. Below are some IPL resources that students might find useful
whilst on placement within CMFT.
