Internally Run Courses

Multiprofessional Support for Learning and Assessment in Practice (MSLAiP, formerly Preparation for Mentorship)

This is a multiprofessional course for staff who are currently supporting students or would like to support students in the future.

There are two possible programmes of study; Credit Bearing & Non Credit Bearing.

Successful completion of the Credit Bearing Course will earn you academic credits at level 5, 6 or 7 depending on which level you choose to complete.

The Non Credit Bearning course has no academic credits attached to it and therefore provides an ideal route for staff who have no requirement for any academic credits

The external courses will incur costs to your department and in order to apply you must complete the appropriate MFT applications as well as apply on-line via CPD Apply. Guide to Levels and Delivery of Programmes

Courses run at the universities are usually delivered at levels described as HE5, HE6 or HE7. Please see the information below for definitions of each.

HE5 - Diploma Level

HE6 - Degree Level

HE7 - Masters Level


Often courses are delivered using a variety of methods/approaches these include:-

Face-to-face - you will be expected to attend teaching sessions usually based in the university.

E-Learning - the course is delivered on-line with minimal attendance at university required.

Blended Learning - a mixture of face-to-face teaching and on-line learning.

The courses described on this webpage may be delivered using a variety of these methods. It is worth checking the method of delivery before making a decision about the course you wish to attend.
