We're looking for Disabled people to join our new
Disabled People's Forum


Aim of the forum

The aim of the forum is to listen to the views and experiences of Disabled people and enable them to influence decisions about the design and delivery of our health care services. This will help to improve access and quality of health care for Disabled people.

Roles and responsibilities of members

  • Work with CMFT to develop equal access for Disabled people across all CMFT service areas
  • Work with CMFT to identify barriers to health care services for Disabled people and find ways to remove these barriers
  • Share experiences and views about health care services for Disabled people

Essential Attributes - Forum Members will either be:-

  • A Disabled person who has used our services in the last 2 years
  • A Disabled person who is a member or governor at CMFT
  • Someone who has experience of the barriers faced by Disabled people when using our health care services and has ideas about how these can be removed
  • Be able to attend up to 4 meetings per year

BSL and minority language Interpreters will be provided on request and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
