Equality & Diversity Employment Policy Framework

The Trust has a detailed set of Employment Policies and Procedures that ensure all aspects of Equality and Diversity are addressed in the workplace. As an employer we are committed to building a workforce which is valued, and where everyone is able to achieve his or her full potential in an environment that is characterised by dignity and mutual respect. The employment policy framework is designed to reflect the employment law provisions in relation to discrimination and this is reflected in a range of specific following Trust Equality and Diversity policies:

The HR Directorate works closely with line managers within all areas of the Trust to ensure that all staff are treated fairly and equitably in the workplace, and suffer no discrimination or unfair treatment that adversely affects both them and the care that they are able to deliver to patients.

HR Skills workshops are provided to line managers and we ensure that equality and diversity is integral to the course content and that, through their learning of key management practices, managers are able to understand the principles of equality and fairness that we strive to deliver throughout.
