Clinical advice and full interpretive service

Laboratory Medicine at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust provides a full interpretive service, with expert advice available from each of our laboratory departments.


Clinical advice is available at all times. The duty biochemist is one of the Clinical Scientists or medical staff. They participate in a rota and will assist and advise on problems involving the biochemical investigation of patients and the interpretation of results. Full details

Expert clinical and scientific advice is available on the investigation of haematological disorders, the interpretation of test results, and on any further investigations which may be required. Full details


The pathologists and technical staff are available by phone, e-mail or in person in the laboratory to give clinical or technical advice. Full details
