Material required for IHC Testing
Please send one block of normal tissue and one block of tumour
tissue with representative H&E sections along with a copy of
the report and a completed request
form to the following address:

Referred cases will be booked onto the MRI laboratory database and
in order to do this the following information must be supplied on
the Diagnostic MMR Referral Request Form:
- Full name of the patient
- Date of birth
- Sex
- NHS number
- Patient address
- Referring clinician and histopathologist
- Reporting address and preferred method of reporting
- Referring laboratory information and block ID
- Criteria for MMR IHC testing
The H&E sections will be examined for suitability. On any
occasion when a block is not deemed as suitable additional tissue
blocks may be requested from the referring laboratory.
