Change of units for vitamin A and E

There will be a change to the units in which vitamin A (retinol) and vitamin E (tocopherol) are reported from July 12, 2013.

These vitamins will no longer be reported in mg/L but will be reported in μmol/L.

To convert back from μmol/L to mg/L for comparison with previous results use the following conversion factors:

Vitamin A : μmol/L to mg/L x 0.286

Vitamin E : μmol/L to mg/L x 0.431

Please remember samples for vitamin analysis should be collected in tubes without anticoagulant (serum) and ideally protected from light.
