Cytology and pathology training course dates confirmed for 2018
NEPSEC, the North of England Pathology and Screening Education
Centre, has confirmed dates in the coming months for some of its
most popular training courses.
The education centre, which has sites at Manchester Royal
Infirmary and in Leeds, runs a series of courses throughout the
year providing essential training in cytology and other pathology
disciplines.
The latest calendar is now available at the NEPSEC website.
A number of courses which were very well received last year are
being run again in 2018 including:
- Breaking bad news - a one day workshop on the challenges of
delivering awkward information for those involved in screening
programmes
- BMS reporting of histopathology - A mock exam course for people
working towards the BMS histology reporting qualification, with
hints and tips from those who have already taken the exam
- BMS Specimen dissection - a 10-part modular course, ideal for
those training or trained in histological tissue specimen
dissectors and taking the Diploma of Expert Practice
- Diploma of Expert Practice in Non Gynae - a four-day course for
those taking the IBMS Expert Practice in Non-Gynaecological
Cytology Diploma and for experienced staff looking for an
update
If you are interested in any of the above courses, contact NEPSEC for more
details.
The education centre is also able to deliver bespoke training
tailored to particular requirements, including conversion training,
return to work, poor performance assessment and re-training, along
with non-gynaecological cytology specialist workshops, such as
thyroid or EBUS, and histology workshops in association with
professional groups.
Please contact
NEPSEC to discuss your training needs.
