Award for RMCH TV documentary

rmchThe TV documentary series "Kid's Hospital: Your Child in Their Hands" which was set in Royal Manchester Children's Hospital has just received a Royal Television Society North West Award for Best Factual Series.  It beat off stiff opposition from Dragons' Den and Ireland with Simon Reeve to win the award.

The four-part series was made by TV production company Films of Record and aired on Channel 5 in May.  It is a hard-hitting and emotional journey that focuses on a number of children who are being treated at the hospital, often for chronic conditions or in emergency situations, through the eyes of their parents.

Films of Record had previously made two Channel 5 documentaries on RMCH at Christmas which were broadcast in 2014 and 2015.
