Cancer Nurses attend Macmillan Professionals event

Macmillan Event

A number of our Macmillan healthcare professionals recently attended the annual Macmillan Professionals Event which was held at Manchester's Palace Hotel.  For two days, hundreds of Macmillan professionals from across the UK were brought together to share knowledge, meet people, celebrate success and, most importantly, work together to improve cancer care.

'Achieving Integration and Engagement in Cancer Care' was this year's theme with special guest Greg Searle, British Rower hosting the Excellence Awards Ceremony. Greg, who came out of retirement for the 2012 Olympic Games, winning a bronze medal in the men's eights, gave an inspiring speech entitled  'If not now, when?' acknowledging the vital elements that led to success for Team GB in 2012.
