Coronation Street Star Lights Up Children's Hospital

RMCH Christmas Lights 1

This afternoon, Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent spread a little festive cheer when she turned on the Christmas lights at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, much to the delight of patients and staff.

Charity patron, Brooke, took time out of her busy filming schedule to visit the hospital. Along with patients, Helaina and Becky, Brooke pressed that all important switch prompting cheers from the staff, patients and their families who attended.

Hospital chaplain Peter Gomm presided over the ceremony and the crowds were entertained by carol singing from the choirs.

Humphrey the bear, the RMCH charity mascot, also joined in the fun. Sodexo kindly provided refreshments including hot drinks and mince pies.
