Day of Industrial Action - Wednesday 30th November 2011

On Wednesday 30th November, public service unions have indicated they will be taking strike action.

Whilst we are planning to keep our hospital open for essential services, there will be some disruption to clinics and non-urgent services.

For those patients who have an appointment or are expected to be admitted on that day, and who will be affected by this action, we are making every effort to contact you before Wednesday. If you do not hear from us then please assume your appointment will be going ahead as planned.

Any postponed appointments/procedures will be re-arranged as soon as possible based on clinical need ie. those most urgent will be re-arranged first.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

There is also a march and rally planning in Manchester, please click here for further information including route and road closures.

Manchester City Council has provided a briefing about their services which can be found here.
