Dementia Awareness Week - Join the conversation!

Worrying changes nothing. Talking changes everything. We're all living longer - and therefore facing a higher risk of one day developing dementia. One thing's certain: the more we know about dementia, the more prepared we'll be to face it.

Dementia Awareness Week is Alzheimer's Society's annual flagship awareness-raising campaign. This year it takes place from 19th-25th May. Join us as we raise awareness throughout the Trust this week.

A number of events will be taking place, including tea parties for patients and visitors where resources from the Alzheimer's Society will be shared.

A stand will be held in Manchester Royal Infirmary atrium where patients and their family and friends can talk to our dementia project nurse and dementia champions about  the condition and the improvements we're making in dementia care. You can visit the stand from 12.30-2.30pm from Monday to Friday this week.
