Emergency Department show support for Movember

Several members of the Emergency Department grew moustaches last month in support of Movember, the movement that aims to raise awareness of men's health issues.

The team always supports this annual event and were particularly keen this year as one of them has recently been affected by testicular cancer.

The entire Accident & Emergency department rallied together, putting on events including a baking competition, soup making, sponsored lipstick wearing, as well as growing a vast array of moustaches ranging from the majestic to the downright ill-advised. They have managed to raise more than £1,750 for Movember.

Staff nurse John Wild said: "We've had amazing support, from support workers to nurses to lead consultants. We would like to thank everyone who has got behind us and helped our hairy heroes achieve this goal.  We couldn't have done it without them."
