Eye Hospital hosts engagement event for National Eye Health Week

To celebrate National Eye Health Week, the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital is hosting an engagement event on Thursday 16th June.

The event, which starts at 10am in the Hospital's main atrium, will showcase many aspects of eye health and the need for regular eye tests. On the day, you will be able to find out about:

Dry eyes and glaucoma screening
Driving and vision
PaediatricsNational Eye Health Week
DVLA, Estermann fields and regular visual fields
Visual loss counselling and simulated visual impairment spex
Macular degeneration and nutrition
Brailler and tactile games
Visual impairment adaptation aids and equipment
Ocular foreign bodies, eye safety
Macular Degeneration Society
Smoking and its effects on the eye
Inpatient care of the ophthalmic patient
