Father Christmas's reindeer drops in on the 25th

A reindeer, fresh from helping Father Christmas deliver a sleigh-full of presents, visited Ronald McDonald House Manchester on Christmas Day (Thursday 25 December 2014) to the delight of children and adults staying there.

Siblings Rhiannah Din (front left) and Kai Din (front right) were among the lucky children who enjoyed the special festive treat. Also pictured are two staff from Wellybobs, the petting farm near Darwen in Lancashire that kindly arranged the visit.

Santa's four-legged helper spent two hours at Ronald McDonald House Manchester, which provides free 'home away from home' accommodation for families who have children being treated at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

The 60 bedroom House, run by Ronald McDonald House Charities, is open 365 days a year and many families are staying there over the festive period so that they can be near their children in hospital.
