Final day of the Royal Eye Hospital Bicentenary Conference
Today is the final day of the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital
Bicentenary.
Delegates from 23 countries have attended the four day event at
the Manchester Conference Centre, featuring nearly one hundred
prestigious expert speakers.
Talks and papers have featured a range of topics including
paediatric ophthalmology, advances in glaucoma, uveitis and the
history of ophthalmology and medicine in Manchester.
Mr Nicholas Jones, Consultant Ophthalmologist and Chair of the
1814 Committee said:
"We hope that those who have attended the conference are
enjoying hearing from the wealth of experience speaking at the
event. We enjoy sharing our pride in our hospital, one of the
world's premier speciality eye hospitals and the second largest of
its kind in Europe, and we hope our guests gain a lot from this
experience."
Photos from the event will be available soon, and details on the
public Open Day at the Royal Eye Hospital in October will soon be
announced.
