Greater Manchester launches campaign to tackle Child Sexual Exploitation

'It's not okay' campaign has been created by Project Phoenix, a unique collaboration of public and third sector partners throughout Greater Manchester. They aspire to be national leaders in the approach they're taking to protect young people from Child Sexual Exploitation and prosecute offenders.

Their aims are to:

  • Prevent child sexual exploitation taking place in the first place
  • Raise awareness of child sexual exploitation
  • Help people recognise the signs
  • Encourage people to report it
  • Provide support to victims and those most at risk
  • Disrupt child sexual exploitation activity where it is suspected
  • Prosecute offenders
