Heart Centre patient reunited with her life-saving team

mhc cprA patient at our Heart Centre who was saved by a passer-by, firefighters and a paramedic, was featured on the front page of the Manchester Evening News on 29th December.

Consultant cardiologist Dr Cara Hendry and her colleagues arranged for Janet Beatty, who had a heart attack on 18th November in Gorton, to be reunited with the people who helped to keep her alive until she reached MRI. Following treatment at the Heart centre, Janet has made a full recovery.

Debra Bushell used her first aid training to carry out CPR, with firefighters Steve Dalton and Marc Berry taking over and supporting an ambulance crew and senior paramedic John Carrie. The photo shows (left to right) Steve Dalton, Janet Beatty, Debra Bushell, John Carrie and Marc Berry.
