Helping Staff and Visitors Get Their 5 a Day

Fruit Barrow

Now staff and visitors at Central Manchester Hospitals will have a greater opportunity to buy fresh fruit when a new fruit market barrow opens at the entrance to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

To help everyone who has decided to eat more healthily in the New Year this will give passers by the opportunity to pick up some fruit on their way into the hospital.

Its launch has been made possible through the Estates and Facilities team and will be manned by paid staff who responded to an advert placed in the local Job Centre.

Fruit StandAny profits made will be donated to the hospital charity.

Mike Beevers, who heads up the team who has put this in place says: "We are really excited to be able to offer high quality, locally sourced fruit at competitive prices which hopefully will have a positive impact on the well being of our staff and visitors."

With fruit so easily at hand hopefully this will help everyone here make a Change4Life!
