International Nurses' Day 2013

Nurses from the organisation will be celebrating International Nurses Day this year on Friday 10th May.

Nurses across the UK are engaging their local communities on the outstanding practice of nurses and their impact on patient care.

International Nurses Day is a great opportunity for us to celebrate the fantastic work of nurses here. It is also a real chance for us to promote nursing as a career option for young people.

There will be a number of events and activities taking place across the sites and community throughout the day and include:

  • Poster exhibitions
  • Photo exhibitions
  • Quizzes
  • Drawing competitions
  • RMCH Talent Competition
  • Cakes
  • Community tea parties
  • Relaxation classes
  • Displays of nurses commitment to the values and behaviours
  • agreed in our Nursing and Midwifery Strategy
  • Careers advice for people interested in entering nursing and midwifery training

As part of the celebrations, nurses will be tweeting about what being a nurse means to them via our Twitter account. If you are on Twitter follow us on @CMFTNHS.
