Join the conversation about Trafford’s new health deal
Health chiefs in Trafford are calling on residents to join
the conversation and share their views about the redesign of health
and social care services in the borough.
The 'new health deal' aims to secure safe and sustainable
hospital services in Trafford. Now local people's views on how this
should be done are being sought.
An online survey that allows people to share their
experiences of services and outline their priorities for the
redesign is now live and follows a number of public listening
events that were held in December.
Mike Barker, NHS Trafford's director of corporate affairs,
said: "Clinicians have started to discuss how clinical services
should be organised for the future. We want local opinions to
remain at the heart of these discussions, which is why we want to
hear from the public about their priorities for services in the
The redesign work is being driven by three principles - to
provide the right care, at the right time, in the right place; to
secure cost effective services; and to ensure that services are
designed to the highest clinical standards.
Health chiefs also want to develop an integrated system of
healthcare across hospitals, GPs and community based care providers
that is financially stable by enabling more people to be treated
closer to home, whilst also improving quality and outcomes for
