More opportunities to speak to the clinicians

New Health DealAfter listening to requests from local residents, the NHS across Trafford has added two more public meetings to the 'new health deal for Trafford' public consultation engagement plan.

In the final few weeks of the consultation, two new public meetings have been organised in community centres in both Stretford and Old Trafford; areas where local residents have so far not had as much opportunity to meet with the local clinicians involved in the proposal.

Dr George Kissen, medical director at NHS Trafford, said, "We have been listening long and hard throughout this consultation process to what local residents have been telling us, and have taken on board their comments. We have adapted our engagement plan to reflect these comments, and have increased the number of public meetings that we will be undertaking.

"We want to ensure that local residents have had an equal opportunity to attend the public meetings and listen to the local clinicians about the proposal. It is important that everyone has a chance to share their thoughts and views on the proposal, be that at the public meetings or on the formal consultation survey.

"Local residents have until 5pm on 31 October to fill in the consultation survey, either electronically via the consultation website, or by hand by filling in the freepost survey at the back of the hard copy consultation documents."
