National Health Visitor of the Year Award for Shakila

shakilaShakila Shan has won the prestigious National Health Visitor of the Year Award by the Community Practitioners and Health Visiting Association (CPHVA). The annual CPHVA awards highlight good practice and professional development and recognise the valuable contribution that health visitors make to the health and well-being of communities.

Practice Teacher Martha Gibbons from the Northenden Team was runner-up in the Educator of the Year award category. This is the third year that the Northenden Team has been represented at the CPHVA awards, winning Health Student Visitor of the Year in 2014 and Community Practitioner Team in 2013.
