National Play in Hospital Week

This year's National Association of Health Play Specialists' National Play in Hospital Week is taking place from 14th -20th October, supported by Starlight and one of NAHPS' patrons, Dr Hilary Cass (President of RCPCH).

The event will be celebrating the importance of play in hospitals and commemorating 50 years since the first ever Hospital Play Staff were employed by the Save the Children Fund at the Brook Hospital, London. Since then, the profession has grown from strength to strength and Starlight is delighted to continue to support entertainment for children in hospitals and hospices across the UK.

We have a display in the Children's Hospital atrium, and are providing additional activities on wards and departments to mark the week.
