Next steps for the Trafford new health deal public consultation

The new health deal for Trafford public consultation, which outlined a proposal for creating integrated care services in the borough, as well as a proposed redesign of services at Trafford General Hospital, closed on Wednesday 31st October 2012.

All responses made by this deadline have now been forwarded to an independent company for analysis.

Over the coming weeks, the Strategic Programme Board, which oversees the new health deal project, will hold a series of meetings to consider the consultation feedback alongside a range of other evidence, before it makes a final recommendation on the proposals.

All of the evidence will be assessed against the Department of Health's four 'tests' for service reconfiguration, which are:

  • Clinical commissioner support
  • Patient engagement
  • Clinical evidence base
  • Consistency with patient choice

These Strategic Programme Board meetings will be held in public:
