No Smoking Day TODAY!

no smoking dayAs part of 'No Smoking Day' the Patient Experience Team in partnership with the Macmillan Information Centre will be holding an information stall in MRI entrance 2 to provide any staff, patients or visitors with information in relation to No Smoking Day. Also joining the team will be the Macmillan LGBT Project Worker from The Christie Hospital to launch 'Proud 2B Smokefree', a newly published report on smoking habits within the LGBT community.

The report presents data captured by the LGBT Cancer Support Alliance at Manchester Pride and features a set of recommendations for health commissioners, care providers, smoking cessation services and LGBT organisations/event organisers.

Drop by our stall in Entrance 2 on 8th March from 10.30am-12.30pm to pick up No Smoking Day resources and a copy of the report and to chat to members of the Patient Experience Team and the LGBT Cancer Support Alliance, who can answer any questions you may have about engaging with the LGBT community around smoking cessation.
