Northenden Health Visitors scoop national ‘Team of the Year’ award

The Northenden Health Visiting Team have been named 'Community Practitioner Team of the Year' at this year's national Community Practitioners' and Health Visitors' Association (CPHVA) Awards. The team who are part of CMFT's Manchester Health Visiting Service received a double nomination in this year's short listing, with team member Sarah Mills also named as runner-up in the Student Health Visitor of the Year category.

The awards highlight good practice and professional development and recognise the contribution that Health Visitors and Community Practitioners make every day to communities across the country.

The award was accepted on behalf of the Northenden team by Martha Gibbons, Practice Teacher; Theresa Cullen, Community Nurse and Sarah Mills, Health Visitor at a celebratory lunch held at Savoy Place in London on the 13th of March. The event was attended by Community Practitioners and Health Visitors from across the country.

The team, who are based at Northenden Health Centre, will be featured in the next CPHVA journal following their success.
