Pop Up Theatre at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital

You don't need to go to the theatre to enjoy good quality entertainment as First Floor Theatre are bringing their Pop Up Theatre to Manchester Royal Eye Hospital on:

  • Friday 6th December - 11.00 am - 1.00 pm and 1.30 pm - 4.pm
  • Saturday 7th December - 11.00 am - 1.00 pm and 1.30 pm - 4.pm

First Floor Theatre create work that draws on contemporary, multi-cultural British experience, exploring community, identity, memory and nostalgia. They seek to engage with ordinary people's stories to give voice to the often unheard and marginalized in society, to find our collective experiences. For two days in December at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, First Floor invite you to:

Our Front Room -  celebrates the rites of passage and milestones of life, meet Violet and Archie, listen to wha dem seh and do the one foot skank, fall in love and move your body to the beat! It is set in the living room of Archie and Violet. The audience of two people listen through headphones to Archie and Violet's story, how they met and their lives together. The audio lasts five minutes and the audience of two are asked to perform simple tasks such as picking up a scarf and exploring the living room set.
