Staff from across our hospitals will be taking part in the
event. The aim is to show young people what happens in our
hospitals, offer information about a wide range of careers in the
NHS and provide advice about health and well-being. We are
also keen to give more young people a voice in the planning and
delivery of health services by our Trust.
Based in the Nowgen Centre on Grafton Street (M13 9WU), the day
will run from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm. There will be
opportunities to find out about jobs in the NHS, plus work
experience and other 'taster' programmes at our Trust.
Experts from across the organisation will be running stands and
talking about their jobs, in areas such as physiotherapy, pharmacy,
IT and radiography as well as nursing, midwifery, medicine and
Young people can also get advice about staying healthy from our
schools outreach staff, and there will be some hands-on activities
including learning how to use a defibrillator and resuscitation
