Giant Eggs Delivered to Children’s Wards

On Wednesday 23rd March 2005 an egg weighing a giant 4.5 kilograms will be delivered to the Acorn Ward at Saint Mary’s Hospital, Manchester. The egg is one of two donations from Hancock’s Cash and Carry in Manchester to the Trust, as Booth Hall Children’s Hospital will also be receiving a donation on Ward 6 on Thursday 24th March, to help brighten up the Easter Period for children who will be spending Easter in Hospital and help make it eggstra special! Carol Clarke, Customer Liaison Officer for Hancock’s said “We are donating these eggs because Easter is a time for the children. We wanted to bring some cheer and delight to children that will be spending this time in hospital” The donation to Acorn Ward will take place on Wednesday at 1.30 pm. The donation to Ward 6 will take place on Thursday between 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm
