Have Your Say in the Diary Room!

No appointment is necessary to make a date with the Diary Room. Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has recently hosted a video diary room to enable staff, patients and visitors to give feedback about the Trust. The first session was held in the Atrium of the new children’s hospital. Project Officer Emma Berry said: “The event was really well received. Patients and visitors were really keen to give their comments and we have over an hour’s worth of footage from the diary room.” A second session is being held in the main of the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital on Friday 4th September between 10.00am and 4.00pm and again, visitors are encouraged to make use of the facility. If you have an appointment at any of our hospitals, or are visiting a friend or relative and feel passionately about having your say, drop into the diary room where your suggestions could really make a difference, The initiative is part of the NHS North West ‘Inspiration’ Campaign where staff and visitors are encouraged to use the room and give their response to three questions about their experience of the Trust’s services and how they would seek to influence them: • Tell us about your experience with the NHS. What sticks in your mind? • What would you do differently if you were in charge? • What could be done to benefit other people? The event is a part of the ongoing Quality Campaign. Its ethos is that patient experience is at the heart of everything we do – show you care – dare to share! The feedback will be used to ensure our hospitals are meeting patient needs and to identify areas for improvement.
