Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Manchester Royal Infirmary, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Saint Mary’s Hospital and the Dental Hospital is advising patients not to risk travelling to hospital unless in an emergency. The Trust will continue to focus its attention on providing emergency services at our hospitals. We would advise patients who have routine non-urgent appointments/operations that these will be cancelled tomorrow (Wednesday 6th January 2010) due to the adverse weather conditions. Your appointment will be rearranged as soon as possible. All patients classed as urgent who need to attend for their Outpatient appointment or their surgery will be contacted by the hospital to confirm that their appointment is going ahead. If you are not contacted by the Hospital please do not attend. We will issue an up-date statement tomorrow.
