Chairman's Bulletin December 2011

Welcome to December's e-bulletin which gives Governors news and information about our Trust and what is going on in the NHS.

It was wonderful to see so many of you at my recent lunches where we outlined our progress against the key priorities for 2011/12. It was also a good opportunity to update you on the many projects going on throughout the Trust including the Quality Campaign and the new Speak Up/Voices initiative where we have encouraged our staff to give feedback about the Trust. This included what they like about working for us and what they would change. Staff were also asked to comment on communication. All contributions were entered into a draw to win vouchers.

Darren Banks, our Director of Strategic Development also provided an update on the Trafford Healthcare Trust acquisition and confirmed that all plans are on trackone of five prizes of £100 to spend in their area of work. I recently drew this raffle and was delighted at the number of suggestions.

I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year and would like to thank you for all your dedication, support and interest during the year.

If there is anything I can do to assist you in your role as a Governor, please contact me on 0161 276 8661 or at peter.mount@cmft.nhs.uk.
